Pictures film In the Land of Women, aspiring writer Carter Webb (Adam Brody) has just been dumped by his true love Sophia (Elena Anaya), so he escapes Los Angeles for suburban Michigan to care for his ailing grandmother (Olympia Dukakis) and to work on the book he has always wanted to write.

Heartbroken and depressed, Carter soon stumbles into the lives of the family living directly across the street, which includes Sarah Hardwicke (Meg Ryan) and her daughters, Lucy (Kristen Stewart) and Paige (Makenzie Vega).

Through his relationship with these women, as well as his eccentric grandmother, Carter begins to discover that what felt like the end was really only just the beginning of his adventure.

Adam Brody, best known for his work as Seth Cohen on the Fox television series The O.C., spoke with MediaBlvd Magazine about working with Meg Ryan, getting over embarrassment inflicted by a parent, and his desire to be in a big blockbuster film.
