Interview: Björk... It's quite a happy thing. And quite secure, in a weird kind of way. I mean, I got a 10-piece brass band that I auditioned in Iceland. For some reason I wanted all girls- maybe because of this sort of exploration into feminism. And Mark Bell is going to do it with me, he went with me on the Homogenic tour, but we've talked a lot about it and it's going to be very different, partly because they've invented so much different software to play live electronic music, you can really introduce the random element and really play with- I mean, both of us have been looking for and contacting and speaking to a lot of people so we can be really fluid and spontaneous with electronic decisions. And Chris Corsano is coming, that's cool. Pitchfork: I've seen him play a few different times with different things, and he's really magnetic to watch. Björk: I'm so thrilled they were up for this, and I didn't even imagine that he would want to do that. But most of the electric rhythms are really bass drum, bottom heavy, and Brian being more bottom heavy, I didn't even ask him- he's got like 57 projects going on anyway, But Chris is lighter, so I thought it would marry better. It's kind of tricky when you have a big band, and there has to be a structure, and it seems like the structure should be the elec... Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal - Player Ratings... Probably.William Gallas - 6 - Put Jens in a bad mood with a terrible back-header. Naughty William.Alexander Hleb - 6 - Our little god of close control and misplaced passes was but a blond blur and should have been replaced by the more easily identifiable Senderos a lot earlier.Abou Diaby - 7 - Gave a consummate display in his new central-midfield-second-striker-left-wing position.Gilberto Silva - 8 - Grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck in the second half - shame he didn't do the same to Jenas.Tomas Rosicky - 6 - Buzzed around, got injured, buzzed off.Freddie Ljungberg - 4 - Lovely touch to set up Adebayor's disallowed goal and was miles onside as far as I could see.#Emmanuel Adebayor - 7 - Needed a goal and took his first chance superbly only to see it chalked out - fortunately he also took his fifth chan... 20/20 vision? You might just be batting average... "See the ball," he said. "Hit the ball." And nobody did that more often than Rose, the sports' all-time hits leader. But what if you can't see the ball? That happened to Baltimore Orioles outfielder Jay Gibbons. "My vision just went on me all of a sudden," he said. "I was screwed." Same thing with Oakland's Dan Johnson, who accidentally sprayed sunscreen into his right eye last spring and wound up with double vision. "I used to hit breaking balls — [until] I couldn't see them," recalled Johnson, whose batting average plummeted more than 40 points. He didn't even try to hit curveball pitches, he said. "I would just take them, because I would lose them." Johnson did eye exercises during the off-season for up to six hours a day. The improvement showed in spring training, where he hit .294 with 10 walks before he ended up on the disabled list because of a hip injury. The episodes proved to be eye-openers for both players who had always taken near-perfect eyesight for granted. Now, they're among a growing number of professional athletes focusing on new and improved technologies to recover lost vision skills. Not all the attention is coming from players with damaged or diminished eyesight.
