''Typical'' for Cho was far from normal and indeed his daily activities, his dealings with other people and his personality were clearly not normal.

This was a man who didn't speak to roommates or classmates, hardly spoke in class, had no friends or social life but had an imaginary ''super model'' girlfriend, wrote extraordinarily violent plays for class assignments, took secret pictures under his desk of women in his classes, and was twice accused of stalking female students.

This is ''normal?

'' Why was it tolerated?

Why didn't it frighten his roommates and people in the dorm?

Clues are in the comments of his two roommates, John and Andy, as interviewed on CNN by Gary Tuchman.

They should be a warning for parents and students alike, in any school, anywhere.

They described a person with clearly odd behaviors; who took secret pictures of girls in a restaurant and even of the two roommates; a person who once mentioned suicide; a person who wasn't friendly, didn't talk with them, or even look at them; a person who played one piece of music over and over; this was a person who slept fitfully and moaned a lot.

They said Cho never went home during the holidays or on school break; that he stayed alone in the dorm.

That's odd too, since his family lived a short distance away in Virginia.

Why didn't he go home?
